Additional DSL Information

DSL is high-speed internet access delivered over existing telephone service without interfering with the voice capabilities of the line. In short you can surf and converse all at the same time.

A Plug-n-Play installation process makes implementing the service a relatively easy task. There are, however, a few things prohibit a self-install. A customer self-install will not work if:

• There is an actively monitored alarm system or health monitoring device on the line that you would like to use.
• You are running an Apple computer.
• You are running UNIX or LINUX operating system.
• You will be running more than one computer on the line.
• You will be web hosting or will be dialing into another computer that demands a static IP address.
• You have a key system.
• You are using a rotary phone on the line that you would like to use.
